I was looking forward to more blood/gore as this is a WAR game. I did notice that guy on the walkway lying in a pool of blood but when the marine gets shot by the sniper, there is no blood on the ground or on his person. With this much action going on, especially with 64 players in online mode, DICE should really increase the blood and gore to make it realistic.
I am curious as to why they are toning that down when it's going to be an 'M' rated game anyway. The profanity is contrived and they should replace that with the blood and gore.
The "bloom" effect seems to plague this game as it does BC2. And, did you guys notice the puffs of dust/pebbles from the ground as each soldier moves? Especially on the rooftop where it is dry concrete, that seems a bit out of place. It's a nice effect no doubt but they should keep those for the swampy/wet levels.
They should really add inclement weather to multiplayer IMO. Having torrential rains and may be a desert storm would be incredible in online MP with 64 players hunting each other down.
Other than that, the game does look incredible. I wish we can see some footage of multiplayer as well. Hopefully during/after E3(?).
Battlefield has never had blood and gore so I dont know what you mean by "curious as to why they're toning it down" As for the cursing.. Soldiers use foul language. It's not contrived. It's because they're living in hell.
Also, why would you have blowing dust on swampy/wet levels? That makes no sense. There is no dust right after a rain.. Although inclement weather for MP would be fantastic.
OT: Was disappointed there wasn't more "unseen" footage but oh well. I may lose interest in BF 3 once RO2 comes out.
