I thought it was good. I grabbed it back when Amazon had the digital copy on sale for $12.50 last holiday season (and days later, Steam had it on sale for the same price, but hey, it's a Steam only game so I got it there either way).
It has some console-centric features (cover system, regenerating health, and I think no quick save), but otherwise, I liked it, and I don't have a thing for the mafia (and a certain chapter's scene became a skip). What grabbed me was the atmosphere/story. The characters aren't too deep, but not too shallow. The end isn't a cliffhanger. It's just how the mafia style stories go (or so I was told). There's even a few sad/touchy feely parts (at least to me).
There's alot of DLC, but I didn't get any of it it and the game was fine. It's just two really that have stories/missions, and it's side stuff. The rest are stuff like cars/clothes, not at all essential. They add to the game, but it doesn't feel missing without it (not that the game is real long, but it's okay enough in that regard).
There is alot of driving. That's my one major complaint with the game, but the atmosphere, something really lacking in today's games, and decent story alone make it up. All in all, not a bad game, but not perfect. For $7.50, I'd say yeah, go for it.
