Still depends on the game/benchmarking software. I recommend BFBC2.
BC2 is a horrible choice to check GPU usage. Have you not seen the massive thread where people can't get anything close to 99% regardless of processor?

I believe the GTX 560 ti will be bottlenecked by any AMD processor. You really need an Intel to push these cards to the limit.

But that being said, I have the modest AMD Phenom II x4 925, OC'ed to 3.64 GHZ and my 560 ti is doing great for games. The fact that it is doing so well and it is still being bottle necked just shows how powerful these graphics cards really are. And the bottleneck is not very significant in our example, but it is there.

On 3dMark11 the highest I have gotten was P4462, if I had a nice Intel processor I would probably be able to break P5000 no problem.

ok well for 3dmark vantage i'm on presets "performance" and if i choose graphics test 1// Jane Nash, i should get around 22-25k?

Try this:

Run 3dmark11 at stock CPU/nb frequency. Note your GPU test scores (not the physics or combined).

Next run 3dmark11 with your CPU/nb overclocked. Note your GPU test scores (not the physics or combined).

If the GPU test scores are increased greatly, there might be some bottleneck, as overclocking your CPU is helping alleviate said bottleneck.

If there is no difference in GPU test scores, then there is no bottleneck.

Regardless, you should be overclocking your CPU and Northbridge to help your system run to it's best potential for all applications.

Uh, yes.. It just means the bottleneck isn't great enough to affect gameplay.

It can, and does. It just doesn't as often or as much as my old Phenom IIs.

If you are able to reach around 99% usage most of the time and drop around a bit but not much is not really a bottleneck or problem. If you can't seem to reach 99% ever or your usage spikes all over the place you have a more serious problem.

A Pentium 4 would be a true bottleneck.
A true bottleneck is whatever holds your system back, be it your gpus, your cpus, or your ram. Something is ALWAYS bottlenecking unless you find some sort of nirvana of equalized powers there will always be one component that holds the others back.

If or if it isn't bottlenecking isn't the question really, its more so when and how bad that needs to be answered.

Again not true, its just the severity of the bottleneck could be very limited.

BFBC2 usage - I can max my usage in both single and multi-player.

Yes you should get around 22-25k depending on your overclocks. The best way to compare would be to search their database for results based on your gpu clock speeds.

Even if your cpu is bottlenecking (and I believe it will slightly in some games), its not going to hinder performance enough to warrant a platform upgrade. Unless you're looking to max out Metro 2033 and get as close or over 60 fps as possible (requires SLI), Phenom II is fine. Just stick with a single card.

By "not bottlenecking" he means that there is no bottleneck to be noticed from the change in clock/NB speeds, thus no noticeable bottleneck in the system.

I don't know whats worse.

The ignorance, the arrogance, or the complete lack of knowledge some people have while trying to spread their mis-information everywhere they go.

As I said before tests like 3dmark11 and Heaven are GPU bound. This means the CPU doesn't have to do hardly anything. You could have a 4.8GHz SB cpu with GTX 470s in SLI and get the same results as you would with a Pentium 4 probably (or a SB chip at 1.7GHz).

3DMARK11 IS GPU BOUND

Please stop talking if you have no idea what you're talking about.
