How badly does my cpu bottleneck my gpu? - Page 7

Your CPU shouldn't bottleneck your GPU at all.

Perhaps 5 fps in some games, but that's about it.
(If we choose to overlook WoW Cataclysm)...

Get that chip off your shoulder man.

The thing about bottlenecks are they always exist and guess what they move dependent on the situation/program in lower resolutions or AA/AF settings you are likely to become cpu blocked, at higher res with AA/AF you will likely be gpu limited or you could even be vram blocked. It is far far more complicated than the simple thing you are describing, however for the purposes of the ops question he has no significant bottleneck.
^This. 99% of people could care less if their CPU is "impressive or empowering" That is more like showing off e-peen.
It does what all CPU's do,compute, transfer data, & calculate. It's like a car,it gets things done, and takes you from point A to point B,regardless of the brand. so fanboy troll bash more intel fanboy. In b4hesays"imnotafanboy". Calling a $225 processor junk, saying that he has a signifigant bottleneck, etc. is being a intel biased fanboy.

So true.

Well said.
It's just a benchmark,anyway. I don't see guys with X4 965's complaining that they can't play the latest game.

I'm sort of jaded from people who seem to think their thought process is shared by all, sadly though if you took the time to actually read the thread instead of attempting to berate me you'd see a lot more nos than yeses.

Educating people is what I'm trying to do, its not the same as what you seem to think I'm doing. Perhaps you'd understand that if you started out with a Regor 245 and believed the "no" people every time you asked if upgrading to a higher end AMD cpu would solve your problems because your cpu wasn't doing what you wanted it to do.

I guess it takes another level of person to believe someone trying to show there are problems even with a single mid ranged gpu on current AMD processors is just trying to show off some crappy $225 cpu that isn't in the least bit impressive or status empowering.

Put your iPhone away, nobody cares and its clouding your viewpoint.
Trlolololololololollolol. A CPU is supposed to be " impressive or empowering " $225 cpu is now crap? What?

LOL,yet you previously said it's "pointless to upgrade to Bulldozer because of it will suck at gaming with it's hyper threaded cores in which you cannot disable the HT"
Phenom II is fine? You just said a $200 cpu sucked.

Let's see if CPU slows down the video cards in these real benchmarks by balla, his cheerleader, and myself:

Balla:

Balla's Cheerleader:

Mine:

^^ apparently I do not suffer the same bottleneck as balla or his cheerleader

And finally :

GPU bound tests.

Please, at some point learn to read. It would save you from trying to "bottleneck" on gpu intensive tests with no ai, no physics, and almost nothing required from the cpu. It would also enable you to see you don't even have the same settings as me.

Cool story though.
