Also, I keep seeing comments about how "open" android is. You cannot remove everything from the phone if you wanted to, so it's just as "restrictive" as the iphone. Also, once jailbroken the iPhone definitely has the advantage as far as apps are concerned.

Also, you don't have to use itunes with iphone you can sync apps/movies/music through 3rd party apps and transfer them wirelessly over wifi as well.

My roommate has a droid x and the UI is much slower and no where near as fluid as even my iphone 3gs. Same with another roommate that has an android phone (don't remember model off the top of my head) and it's even slower.

Oh and one more thing, you can install android OS on an iphone you can't do that with android.
Lol, Android is open and you can do whatever you want with it

You have more games for the iphone and they play them flawlessly. You can't say that for all andriod phones, take angry birds for example: It runs perfectly fine with no lag on any iProduct. Android, not so much, it definitely lags quite a bit on a lot of handsets, I've seent it.

And that's a stock Galaxy S without voodoo or any mods. Looks the same to me. Tegra GPU = Winnar!

My son's Samsung Galaxy S (stock) crashes once every day or two, for no apparent reason, and requires a reboot.

The iPhone is awesome. Take one look at the Retina display and you won't want to use anything else. My wife and I have had iPhone 4's since December. We're both former BB users and we're never going back!

Ok, but play angry birds on a lower end model android phone and it is VERY laggy.

That's the problem is that the specs of android devices are so vast that it's difficult to get apps to run properly on all of the devices.

That's hardly a problem in most apps nowadays. CPU/GPU-intensive games sure, they'll flop on lower-spec phones. But most others still run provided that they're compatible on the version of Android the device runs on. Compatibility issues are present, but not as bad as a lot of people think.

Actually, the variety of specs on Android phones is a good thing. Lower-end devices would be enough for simple users while higher-tier ones are for enthusiasts and power users. They exist on almost all price price points, and not just locked to a certain price bracket.

Comparing a low end phone against apples best is hardly fair.

The galaxy s is meant to compete with it.

Rarely see people with Android phones? There almost everywhere I look these days. While I can't speak for Black Berry, I have had the iPhone 4, Droid, Droid Incredible and Droid X.

I upgraded from the Droid to the iPhone but I didn't care for it so I wen't back to Android. I really didn't like the iPhone app store, there are a lot of free stuff but most of the games are just demos. Like Angry Birds for Android is free while on the iPhone it costs money.

Dude, is that sig for reals?

My Inspire 4G (a Desire HD, really) does everything well and could compete with my pop's Atrix 4G. Save for some caveats regarding battery life, it's extremely powerful and a treat to use. Already put a CM7 ROM in this baby, and it's zipping.
