Hypertransport Sync Flood Error - Page 4

Somehow i just fixed my problem, all i did was take out my 4850 and rip off the shroud (seeming as i had no screwdrivers with enough grip to take the screws off the shroud) i have a zalman pcie cooler and im getting 10c less on idle. i popped it back in and now it hasnt crashed once since i started playing bc2 but i probably need to do a bit more testing.

The only other thing i changed was full screening it to 1080p with VSYNC on but temps are relatively the same on load.

perhaps a certain chip was overheating somewhere possibly on the gpu? i haven't got a clue tbh but we've both messed around with our GPU and fixed the problem somehow.

My graphics card temps are fine though. My CPU is a severe bottleneck in BC2 so my GPU usage is <40% and thus my temps are also relatively low. I really don't understand what the issue is.

If it keeps happening set your ram to 1066 and I bet that will fix it. It's also possible that your psu could be causing a problem.

This is a long list of everything I've done.
1. Used different CPU.
2. Upped voltage to current CPU.
3. Upped voltage to RAM.
4. Used 1600MHz RAM underclocked to 1333.
5. Used different motherboard.
6. Used different PSU.
7. Changed drivers from 11.2 to 11.3 to 11.4 preview.
8. Upped GPU voltage
I did all of that with the 6850 installed and crashed every time.
I have also used a 4670 instead of the 6850 and didn't crash. The only thing I haven't changed is the HDD and ODD.

Okay, so I just played a bunch of games without crashing. The only thing I changed was I closed every program I could as a last resort and apparently it worked. Now I just have to find out which program it was.

I got a ssd and installed windows on that and my problem still occurs. Not as frequent as yours.

Playing wow for example, it might restart 2 or 3 times but after that its sweet. Alt-tabbing out ruins it though, 2 mins after i tab back into the game, she restarts.

Yes its starting to sound like a driver issue but as I said, try setting your ram down to 1066 not just 1333.

Are you running MSI Afterburner? Shutting that down seemed to have been what fixed it for me.
