Q9950 temps and instability. All help appreciated :) - Page 2

First this is to turn that CPU cooler 90 degrees so the fan is on the right. I'm assuming the two 120s at the rear are exhaust, that will throw the hot air out the back. The one up front is intake, right?

Looks like you can run some of the cabling (like the ATX power) behind the mobo tray, that will help. Do you have another intake in the case door? Anything up top?

2thAche only problem is because of the big heatsinks on the P5Q deluxe i can only have it facing up or down, wont fit in any other way as the fins on the cpu heatsink wont go past the fins on MB heatsink but ill try and get those cables behind the tray, thanks for the tips guys. Only have the one intake on the front im afraid.

hmm well nothing wrong with the path of the airflow just no enough of it I guess, how do you feel about drilling holes in the top/side/bottom of your case?

is there anyway to add an extra fan at the front? how powerful are the fans you have?

Dr216 didnt really fancy getting too creative with my case hehe, However i think i can remove the top drive bays and squeeze another fan in there. The 3 120mm fans i have are stock gigabyte fans and i think the RPM on them is about 800. System temp now after idling most of the day 43-45.

What do you guys think of these fans? Was thinking about wacking 3 of these in. http://www.xigmatek.com/product.php?...&type=overview

before you mod anything see what swapping those fans out for some nice high cfm ones does.

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coo...s-roundup.html is a compare of a large number of fans, Find some that you can live with the price/dba but have the highest possible flow rates, personally im a big fan of gentle typhoons but there are plenty of other great fans out there.
