Core i5 2500k operating tempratures

hi
i have a Core i5 2500K with Asus sabretooth P67 motherboard
and OCZ Obsidian PC3-12800 ram

my idle temps at 1.6GHz per core are 27C
but when i run Prime95 de CPU will OC it self at 3.7GHz and i reach 60C
is this normal? and can the cpu handle this?

i am using a Corsair H50 cooler

i have tried reseating and replacing the kooling paste
it helped a bit got around 2/3C less

im going to do a push pull setup with the Corsair H50 kooler mabey thatll work?
any suggestions?

what temps should i normally get with Corsair H50 at 3.7GHz

60 C is way cool and your safe. you dont need to worry about your temp unless you cross 70 - 75 C at load.

you might hit these temperature at vcore of 1.27V at load (this is my guess)

you can easily clock to atlest 4.3 ghz with H50. higher than that your ambient temp depends a lot

i just dissabled speed step it was ffin up windows 7

also i managed to do push pull with my Corsair H50 and its now at 58C at load

98C is the tjMax of Sandybridge with 95C being the throttle limit.

so 70C is a good operating temp?
damn dint know cpu's could handle that heat

i always tought that 60C was max go any higher and u damage the cpu...

so there is still room left to oc my 2500K?

i just looked up my Vcore and its at 1.312V

can i lower this?
if yes wouldent my temps go down drasticly?
70c is fine. Intel specs the maximum reccomended temp at 72,6C, but you're probably fine at up to 85c, as long as you don't run it 24/7 at that and don't go crazy on the vcore.

EDIT: Yeah, you can probably take it down a bit, I doubt you need 1,3vcore for 3,7Ghz. Try 1.22-1.25 or so and see if it's stable

ok i put vcore down to 1.250

and im having load temps of 55C now
guess thats a good thing

so in total i managed to go down 7C just using push pull and vcore + reseating the cooling paste
