Boy, that's odd.

One the one hand, I can see how they would recommend a 200$ CPU.

On the other hand, the recommended spec is for the most powerful gaming CPU on the planet?

I'm really impressed with what LGA 1155 is capable of, it even takes on Gulftown in some benchmarks. I can't wait to see what SB-E will be able to do and if the die shrink from sandy bridge to ivy bridge will make a big difference in overclocking. Until LGA 2011 comes out I'm playing the waiting game though, no need to upgrade when I have a 930 running at 4.0Ghz on only 1.28 vcore.

Same heres, and AMD wasn't my pick for "gaming", as game performance is far more impacted by the computer's GPU then CPU. I can encode lots of vidyas and I can play vidya gaems!

I am unaware of a 1366 i5 lol. Thats 1156 (Lynnfield)? vs 1155 (Sand Bridge). That's how im reading that anyway. And just what would be AMD's Equivalent to a 2nd Gen Intel Core i5 anyway? Bulldozer? thats still a mystery chip. I don't forsee the Core 9xx lacking the power to play any games maxed anytime soon. And if your rocking 1366 drop in a Hexa Core when games need those. 1366 Is still a good platform despite some cool new stuff being out.
