I just thought it was about time for all of the M488TD-V-EVO owners to have a place to discuss the ins and outs of our boards, as its come to my attention that a lot of the bios settings and features differ from previous ASUS configurations with naming and such, so a consolidated thread would be helpful!

Will be adding a support section tonight, along with some guidelines for the stable OC section.. till then, have a look around and meet your fellow M488TD-V-EVO owners!

Feel free to post pics of your build, stats, screenshots of successful OC's or even your best suicide OC! eek.gif

Any tips tricks, or useful info regarding this board is encouraged!

My current OC is in my sig, but I will putting together a more complete version, as I have OC'd my RAM recently...

Look forward to hearing your experiences with this board!

Been using this board for quite some time now, and I am absolutely happy with it. Has some decent OC potential, but sadly my 955BE has tremendous heat issue which prevents me from pursuing higher OC (yes, even with a Thor's Hammer cooler installed). I have reached 4.1GHz quite easily and the memory tweak was nice too (pics included), but with the heat it was impossible to keep it for 24x7 use.

Before I bought the Thor, I did a bit of research and found it out to be one of the best air coolers... but sadly, it seems that no cooler is good enough for our Indian weather ( pollution, humidity and HEAT ).
Anyway, my temps:
STOCK-- idle: 36c , prime95 full load: 53c ----in summer (in the winter idle is 30c load is 49/50c)
OCed to 4GHz, the idle temp stays near 40c........ load temp would cross 70c (at that point I stop the test).
In the winter I can get prime stable 4ghz but it seems to be impossible in the summer. Maybe I have a bad chip.

I've purchased this Board today.. I been trying to overclock my 955 to 4ghz.. But sadly no luck on stableling it :/.

Nice looking board though. Have a question, is this a bad upgrade from an m4a88td m/usb3 ? I think I should of off kept the other board.. There are almost identical.Except for the CPU phases which are differ. Or should I return this and get the m4a89gtd pro instead? Thanks for helping guys smile.gif

I have the board and love it! ATM I just overclocked my cpu to 3.81Ghz @ 1.34v and have my CPU-NB at 2540 @ 1.15v. which I am stressing right now(2 hours in so far) and will be pushing further.

And Lezker keep the 88td-v evo. Especially if you want to overclock. The 88td-m is a 4+1 power phase wont be able to handle a high TDP processor very well, especially overclocked. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
