Never buying from EVGA ever again...

So my gtx 570 broke which I rmaed to received a 'new' (i say 'new' because it had smudges and kinda looked dirty) which broke in 10 min (or less... probably less) of oc scanner stressing. Now I am going through new rma process and I asked them I can get a different card instead even if I had to pay extra sum. But they said my step up program is expired so I cannot get a different card no matter what. It has passed the mark for only couple of days.... It wouldnt have passed the damn deadline if they didnt send me faulty card twice or takes over 2 weeks for the whole rma process to go through. So you know what they offer me? 'Extra testing' oh great... now what is it going to take over 3 weeks for me to get my card? When I got the card I bought it for 350+ now its not even worth 300, its like wasting 50 dollars because I didnt get to use the card FOREVER. NOT to mention I had to pay for the freaking shipping... Life time warranty is pointless.... Its just a gimmick ..

edit: The evga support tells me gtx 570 vrm problem does not exist LMAO. He told me he has two gtx 570 at home folding 24/7 when he is not gaming and they are overclocked. Thats great so why did my cards break at normal core temps?

They would have done the step up program on the 1st card,But not after it has been RMAed

If you talk to the right people, they will allow you to step-up your card. I have seen this happen multiple times. While I don't have a contact for you, I'm sure people here will give you the email address of a supervisor that can help you.

EVGA never states that you will be getting a "new" card for replacement. EVGA just states that you will be getting an at least equivalent card for replacement.

If you push them, the RMA process should not take any longer. If you call 1-2 business days after they recieved the card, you can get them to make sure a replacement is sent out in a day.

EVGA will pay shipping both ways on a RMA on a RMA.

EVGA has always been great for me. I've RMA'd things several times over the last few years, and no company has been better at it than EVGA. Sorry about your luck.

wow, sorry to hear this. was planning on buying my next card from evga just because of their warranty. but if their customer service sucks so bad I wont

You should just go off on them man, stop being reasonable just yell at the customer service rep, saying how they suck, your going to tell everyone how they f***ed you and how you'll never ever ever buy from them again. that how I usually get my way when a company tries to f*** me like that

Within the US, EVGA pays shipping via UPS Ground to the customer but the customer pays shipping to EVGA.

If there is a problem with the replacement product, EVGA will cover shipping both ways if you ask.


(I use to be a tech support contractor for EVGA. )
