Never buying from EVGA ever again... - Page 3

I just had one rma'ed myself and it went really smooth. I received a brand new in the box with all the connectors just as if I had bought it off the shelf. But I had them cross ship me one so maybe that was the difference. Yeah I paid a little but I also don't need to pay to ship my junk back and I didn't have to wait for them to get it before I got mine. Took about a week total. Was worth it to me.

Sorry for your bad luck but seriously if they are willing to test it for you and be certain that seems fair to me. Plus ask about them paying for the shipping like duckie said. I can understand your frustration though to a point.

I had a motherboard that was dying toast my 8800gtx due to a damaged PCI-E slot. Went through 2 rmas before swapping mobos and suddenly no more issues.

Anyway Evga tech supports been good to me, even got a free upgrade on that 8800 to a GTX260.

Unlike the one person suggested, don't swear at them -_-

Be firm, but polite, they're not in the business of screwing people over. They wouldn't make any money that way. (Cell phone providers on the other hand...)
I am pretty sure my pci-e is fine my card's core temp was lower than 80 at max load. I never even heard of pci-e slot toasting a card before.

It was actually something Evga tech support suggested first, the board was a 680i SLI Mobo from Evga so it stands to reason they have experience with some of it's more exotic quirks. The fact of the matter is, when a GPU & PSU switch didn't solve the problem, a motherboard swap did.

Stranger still is the fact that plugging in a 7600gt worked perfectly fine. It was only the higher wattage cards that were affected. Again, this was after both a replacement video card and power supply were tested, the motherboard was at fault. Weirdest hardware failure ever.

First off post your computer specs, we have no idea what your trying to run your card on.

So you've received 2 cards both are bad? I have a feeling it's not the cards, if it's at stock clocks why are you running OC Scanner in the first place stressing it out? SOUNDS like heavy benchmarking.

Second, do you think if you've received two cards it's the cards and it couldn't be some other component in your rig failing?

So your being shipped a third card? That's not bad customer service btw. Most companies won't send the first. I can guarantee you if something is wrong with the third one it's something else in your computer failing on you.

Post your computer specs please.

I remember when I had my very first evga card. It was evga 7900GT and it was faulty from the beginning, so I rma'ed and I received a card that looked so abused, but it worked out fine. I wouldn't say that's a good experience though. Mine was spanking brand new before RMA.

Evga is ridiculous, my gtx 570 arrived at evga at friday and I called them to ask if I can pay to make the shipping faster. The guy tells me that is impossible and the only way I can do faster shipping is if I chose the faster shipping in the beginning. Also the guy says it will ship on wednesday which means it will come next monday.

When I first placed the rma the guy didnt even bother to tell me that was the only time I can change the shipping speed. What is so hard about changing the shipping on an item that did not ship yet when I would even pay for the extra? Also the guy who set up my rma told me the card would arrive this week too... No more evga for me.
