Can i mix rads for my water cooling

Hi guys
I have a xspc 360 rad and have it INSIDE my case with a XSPC 750l/p pump/res
it has 1/2 pipes and a EK full nickle block on cpu

I still have quite high temps so was thinking about adding my old rad into the loop it is a 240 (thin) rad (cant remember the official name something like BLACK ICE) is it ok to introduce it or will it cause a problem in flow strenth since the xspc rad is RX360

Just make sure you don't mix certain metals as they can cause chemical reactions which will cause corrosion to occur. Don't see why it would be a problem though..

Mixing rads is fine. Your temps are still too high with a 360 rad on a cpu-only loop??

yes they can get quite warm and the max temps at load are 79c on the first core (IBT)
I have only got a 4.2 oc and i know i can go further but the temps go up quite a bit if i add more vs to it

I think its because my rad sits at the top of my rig and i felt the pipes and rad and my block and they were all warm so thought if i was to introduce another rad OUTSIDE the case this may help

Also the old rad needs a clean out whats the best,? hot water and a splash of viniger>?

Yeah pretty much. Boil some water, let it cool a little then rinse it through the rad with a splash of vinegar. Make sure to rinse well and several times, using distilled water for at least the final rinse.

Yes, boiling water into the rad and shaking it to get it all in there, and you can also do a 10% vinegar/90% water shake as well to get out any metallic crap that might be left. Just be sure to rinse it out afterwards.

Something is wrong if you're getting that high of temps without bumping up your vcore. What is it at now? You shouldn't have much of any problem with a RX360. It should carry that processor to the limit.

Maybe check your loop for air bubbles or kinks? Shake out the radiator to shake out any air bubbles.

1 part distilled white vinegar to 9 parts boiling water
(or 1/2 cup distilled vinegar to 4.5 cups boiling water)

Shoot for a 10% solution. Fill rad, cap it and shake vigorously.
(make sure you're wearing thick gloves..or you'll burn your hands)
Then let it stand for 3 or 4 minutes. Drain. Rinse with hot water, final rinse with distilled water.

I just did an IBT test with a 1.35vcore it shows as 1.33v in CPUID but it is set in bois to 1.35v anything lower than that and its not stable and the cpuTin got to 54.5c and the temps on each core were 69c 64c 59c 60c 62c and 65c (have window open and a good breaze coming through the house) if i shut the window it will hit 70+ c on the first core.

I will rinse it out (black ice rad) and then redo the loop

I wondered if i had air blocks as my water level has dropped twice but i cant shake it about as it is in a HAF X case and its to heavey lol i did tilt it back and forth though and side to side etc when i built it

EDIT : thanks for the quick replies and the help people
