Need advice on new build

Need advice on this build:

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7
CPU: Core i7-2600k
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
HDD: OCZ Vertex 3 240GB SSD
HSF: Thermalright Archon CPU Cooler
PSU: Corsair AX1200 thinking of changing it to a Corsair AX850
GPU: 2x2GB 6970 Powercolor
Case: Lian Li PC-B70B

The case is from my old 1366 system that im re-using.
Now what i want to know is there any other motherboard out there that support x16x16 for dual graphic or is this gigabyte motherboard the only thing in the 1155.

I would like to know if i get the GA-P67A-UD7 motherboard + the vegeance rams and the 2x graphic card will the Thermalright Archon cpu cooler fit with this hardware setup?
If not is there any other 1155 motherboard out there that support dual x16 for crossfire graphic card?

Also any advice on changing any of the parts for something else would be nice.

I was going to order all the parts from newegg in USA and get it ship by mailforward service which would be even cheaper then buying all the parts in australia. However the risk of having a faulty part would be a nightmare to sent back to newegg from aus.

Any australian have purchased an entire system from newegg?

you can save a fair bit on getting the 6950 instead and unlocking, since you're getting 2 you can save about $150

Get a 2500k if it is just for gaming
RAM is unnecessary. Get a Vengeance 8Gb kit instead
For the video cards. Do what you want. 6970s are great cards. You could get a set of 6950s if you wanted...

Also, for the hard drive, I doubt 240GB is going to be enough. Get another hard drive. Get a Spinpoint F3 or WD Caviar Black to store your other files.

Yeah i could do that but does the whole flash thing really makes the 6950 run at 6970 speeds and there is no issue with overheating it or anything?
and i haven't done any research into the flash thing yet.

Still need advice about the CPU cooler, if its going to hit the graphic card on that motherboard? the graphic card needs to be sitting on the x16 x16 slot.
I read somewhere that with Thermalright Archon there shouldnt be an issue with large Rams, so im hoping the rams will fit also.
If someone that have this board and Thermalright Archon and it all fits let me know, it would be good

Also im thinking of changing the PSU to a Corsair AX850 or Seasonic X-850.

Is 850 plenty of power? anyone know how long the Corsair CPU 8pin connector is? because my case is a full tower and having the PSU at the bottom and trying to cable manage wasn't possible with my old antec 850 signature PSU, it was too short

you could also get the Maximus 4 formula extreme (it does dual x16)

i would stick with 2 4GB sticks of ram so that they are easier to match to your CPU speeds

you probably wont need a 1200W PSU (but im not one to talk considering i have a 1600W )

as for the GPU flash... i have no knowledge on this topic so ill leave it to someone else

your build looks great so far... good luck
