New Steelseries mouse coming... - Page 6

I'm hoping for the Avago sensor in the Xai, Kone +, and Naos 5000. All they really needed to do is make the Xai more appealing or durable.

I find myself having trouble gripping the mouse. Im used to the da where my hand just rests on the mouse. Here I have to use all my fingers to grip it.

If they want it designed by gamers then we should choose the sensor. Someone should make a petition for Steelseries new mouse to have the 3090.

Understandable, but at least this mouse works for all types of grips rather than just a palm, I mean I myself am more of a hybrid Claw/Palmer. If a mouse is large and bulky, I can palm fine, but if it's small and light I'll be able to claw since there's less strain on my fingers (while lifting).

Why? It's a decent sensor, but it has a great many flaws. It has a relatively high LOD on many pads, it has small inbuilt positive acceleration and it jitters endlessly at medium-high DPI settings on cloth pads. There are far better sensors out there.

And build quality is not really the issue with SS as quality control. I had to buy 3 Xais before I got one that wasn't defective out of the damn box, but once I did, it hasn't shown a single flaw in over a year of daily use.

.
LOD can be fixed with a custom lens, the acceleration cant be worse than the ADNS-9500, and as far as I'm aware the sensor only jitters w/ CM's newer firmware @ 800 DPI. It may need some firmware adjustments like both the 3668 and 3888 required, but we'll see if these issues are still present once puretrak ships their Valor.

If Steelseries really wanted to make some profit, they would purchase ADNS-3060's in bulk for nearly a grand cheaper than the 3080 and 3090 and essentially rewrite the SROM for custom DPI values (like Zowie did) and minimal correction (Like Razer/Avago with the 3668). 3080 would be another option for a "proven" sensor (with correction), but it's priced exactly the same as the new 3090.
