My Dell Precision M4500 was supposed to support a 64GB SSD mSATA minicard AND a 2.5 HDD/SSD. My plan was to acquire the SSD minicard as an upgrade and leave the original 320GB HDD as my data drive.

Unfortunately, Dell was not able to supply the SSD minicard as an upgrade, so I finally opted to buy a 160GB X25-M G2 to be used as my system AND data drive.

First things first, I updated the firmware to 02M3. Worked just fine.
I made a clean Install of Win7 Pro x64, updated all drivers and installed all my applications.

While I know there are faster drives available, I made my decision based on Intel's reliability reputation and also its availability here in Mexico.

I do not know if it is Office 2010, but I find this laptop not as responsive as my old Inspiron 1520 with an 80GB X25-M G2 with Office 2007.

I hope this data can be useful...
