The games themselves are better than they have ever been, but everything else is becoming worse and worse.
No. No no no no no no no no no no no NO! If a game is to sell these days it needs to be the same boring, bland cookie-cutter junk everyone already has nine copies of, and it needs to focus on an even more boring, even blander, even more cookie cutter junkpile of a multiplayer mode. Good games are few and far between.
Also, what about DRM? DRM is the main way they give us the finger.

I'm perfectly content with delaying a game so the existing team can get it right the first time. That's why I like Valve, they're not afraid to hit the delay button.
Though sometimes I think they hit it just for lulz. Or maybe to troll us.
