Ultra X4 1050 watt Problem?

Hi all, Recently I added a 5870 for Crossfire. When playing games or benching my computer shuts down with no warning. Could this be a PSU problem?
PSU Ultra X4 1050 Watt
920 Clocked to 4.0GHz HT on @ 1.33125v
cards clocked @ core 1103 mem 1250 1.35v
mem 6gb @ 1600MHz 1.65v
Asus P6X58D-P

Thanks in advance.

PS: This only happens when I overclock both cards any thing over 950 on the cores. I can disable crossfire and overclock one card and play games fine

It's possible. The X4 1050W is pretty mediocre, and so may be degraded to the point that voltage goes off past a certain wattage and OVP or UVP cut in and shut it down. But it would have to be pretty far gone to start malfunctioning at the mere ~500-600Ws your system draws.

Sure it isn't your cards? Check your temperatures.

Those seem like high core clocks on your gfx cards, try turning them down a bit perhaps.

Phaedrus any idea why my pc instantly shuts itself down if i try an run linx but primes fine and games fine.

My 5870's are water blocked, I never get above 60 under full load.

Well after some tests, it seems my computer will shut down only when playing Crysis2 and running 3dmark11. I can run furmark all day long and burn the hell out of my cards overclocked @ 1002MHz on the core and 1270MHz on the mem. drawing 1.23v from both cards. I starting to think its not my psu but maybe a driver problem.
