You jumping way up there bro, who said anything about starting big? You can find a decent GPU for well under 100 bucks. Making DDR3 cards in 2011 is pointless.
I don't really post much anymore, but who are you and what have you done with $till LegendaryU2K?confused.gif

Also, I don't think this card is for any real gaming. I think it would be good for really light games, and netflix etc but nothing too intense.

yet I would rather have something like a GT 240 over it for the same price with a slightly higher TDP

If you're dead set on getting a medium-low end gamer, yeah. But if you're looking for HTPC or F@H or CUDA processing the GT430 is the way to go :3 Plus, most models are low profile, which is a nice plus IMO.

Side note: I've used 3 GT430s and 3 GT240s. Just sayin' biggrin.gif (I have seen way too many graphics cards in the last 3 years -_O)

besides the low profile part, the GT 240 can do the same exact things but also game much better:confused:

basically all my complaining is due to the fact that I think the GT 430 should be alot cheaper than it should be; considering I can do the same exact things it does with an older and cheaper 3470.

Who the hell needs a garbage backup GPU when you get some sort of integrated graphics in anything these days: CPUs and majority of motherboards out there already have them. The only thing this card has going for it is low power consumption, but like others have said an underclocked 8600GT will cost way less and give comparable results in both performance and power consumption.

To bad. i been hoping for a new and improved gtx430 as a physx card frown.gif

Seems like i have to go with gtx460 or gtx550 for physx. [both around the same price]

I really see no use for this new card frown.gif

For gaming just get an older type card for the same money that performs twice as good, for a HTPC intel intergrated gpu's are even better, if you dont have an intel IGP then a cheap HD5550 is the best choice, HD5550 outperforms Intel IGP and even a GTX480 when it comes to HD playback

What is the use of this new card ?
