O wow, I hadn't realized they'd finalized the spec for USB 3.0 internal headers without intel or amd officially including them in their chipsets. Not to go too far off topic, but since the header seems to have been finalized, do mobo manufacturers still include a USB 3.0 front panel with proprietary internal connections with their boards?

Those USB 3.0 headers were never proprietary; Intel themselves finalized the header pinout way back in August.

I'm not sure how other cases are set up, but I'm pretty sure CM will sell an upgrade to make the Haf-X have internal USB3 connections as well. All it would entail is swapping out those blue USB cables for whatever cable would go to an internal header. If he manufacturers choose not too to try to sell new cases then I'm sure some kind of adapter will be sold 3rd party.

I really liked the interior design of the 912 but wished it was black inside, had a window, and didn't have the traditional industrial HAF-look on the front.

Its awesome that they got the FP USB3 header finally, and also personally I love when companies don't ruin windows by cutting out fan holes.

This thing looks amazing IMO, especially if they can hit their target price of $80.

Edit: quoted price at CES was $80, looks like it might have gone up

I like. It will be a more widely available HAF 912 Advanced with some minor cosmetic changes.

I know many don't like doors, but due to me rarely using my ODD, and as of lately my fan controller, I see the door as a nice cosmetic addition.

I would feel more comfortable if it was priced around $80 or $90, but I guess for it having a USB 3.0 front panel connector, it's not that bad.

I also enjoy the fully sealed side panel with a window. It fits my preference for a positive air pressure airflow design.

Nope, this looks very BitFenix-ish. And ugly as sin too. But, I guess uber-leet-gamers have to have cases like this, yeah?

Just curious, but why the lusting after USB 3.0 headers? It's not like there's any tech available that utilizes USB 3.0 to it's fullest other than external HDD's, and do you really want to plug one of those in on the front? I know I'd want to plug it in the back (that's what she said?), and not on the front of the case.

There are no cases out there right now that have USB 3.0 headers. Even if there isn't much tech out there to support it right now, there will be in the future.

All other cases generally have just a USB 3.0 extension cable that you route out the back of your case and into your rear I/O for USB 3.0 support. Sort of a cheap way to do it if you ask me.
