Oh....that's strange. Well I guess you shouldn't worry about it as long as you don't OC too much

Lot of phenom 2s in this thread...I get anywhere from 32-45 idle temps depending on how long the computer has been running, ambient and which core I measure. Never seen it get above 64 at full load, running an i7-930 at 3.4GHz stock voltage Prime 95 stable.

You idle at less than ambient?
BUT THAT DEFIES THE LAWS OF EVERYTHING.

Hahaha. Well I just double checked. Ambient is still 25 and I've been running prime 95 for about 3 hours now, 38-current 40-high 19-low

Seriously though that's pretty much impossible on air cooling O__O
Either ambient temp checker thingy is wrong
or processor sensor is wrong

Possibly has something to do with the fact that the processor I have is only 95 watt?
And if you think sensor is wrong, could you recommend better temp measuring software? thanks

I just think your ambient reader is wrong
I use hwmonitor

Depends on ambient. Sometimes with my OC as low as 22c idle, 40-ish C load.

In hwmonitor should what should I consider ambient?
And also which processor temp measures should I use? The one under temperatures-cpu
Or the ones where it gives temp reading for every core?
