If I could buy something made by someone else for that price with the performance I am getting on that 11.6inch screen I would get it from them instead, but nothing else like this system exists.

I love my desktop (built it last may), I am going to be sad when I have to sell the motherboard and CPU next week for preparations for my bulldozer upgrade.

quit being ignorant people

and so i dont botch the OP it IS a brand name thing... people who know nothing about building gaming rigs, first thing they think of when they hear "gaming Computer" is alienware

kinda like how 98% of people dont say MP3 Players, they say iPods (even when not talking about an ipod spacifically)

or Kleenex
So there are no comparable applications for "PC"? Also you are talking about mac pro right? those are not at insane prices, its the crappy 27" laptop called an iMac that is overpriced. I guess I cant be objective because I have been at this hobby for a while and osx86 is so easy so really no need.

For me, I bought an M11X (R1), because at the time, there was nothing else like it...no other laptop had the combination of small size, gaming ability, and battery life that the M11X brought to the table.

And for me, it was a great purchase. It's no bigger then a full-size hardback RPG book, so it's easy to carry. When I want to game, I can game, when I want battery life, I can have that too. It's an excellent combination of the traits I wanted after I sold my 17" laptop.

I'm looking forward to seeing the M11X R3 and the M14X soon...one of those two will be my next laptop...just waiting to see which offers the most bang for my buck.

I estimate the number of people making the "they're too stupid to build their own rig" comments who build their own laptops hovers somewhere around the number 0.

I agree Alienware is overpriced, but for people who want an 11.6" gamer for whatever reason, the options are slim. The bigger Alienwares... pricey for what you get imo.
