UPDATED 1/12/12: X-Fi Bites the Dust - Titanium HD vs. Essence STX Comparo - Page 15

Crystalizer actually boosts high and low frequency sounds together. Some people believe that it only boosts high frequencies, but it is not true.

It uses the "double hump" alteration to your EQ to make you hear things with more vibrance and impact.

Just use your stock Creative EQ and boost the last few sliders on the right hand size of your EQ and save yourself a preset. Same effect, just not a blanket one like the crystalizer itself.

Good luck.

hi , i´m new here and need some advice .i have a titanium fatal1ty 0886 .i want to sell the fatality to buy a titanium hd . i think its worth upgrade ,but im worried about switching from speakers to cans ,and there is no driver fix for this .the question is : if i can get an extension 1/8" cable male to female for cans will help? or if the souncard feels something is plugged in(even if headphones aren´t connected ) automatically mutes the speakers ? right now i have crappy x-530 , but planning upgrade to audioengine A5 next year .would it be good ? or you recommend something better .my budget for speakers is around 350 USD . ( sorry if my english isn´t good ,but im doing my best )

yes theres no way to switch between speakers and headphones when they are both plugged in...and creative said it won't be fixed, because theres nothing to fix...its just the way it is designed

so either you have headphones on...or speakers on...if you have both, it will automatically default to headphones

Because of that, I simply went with the Xonar Essence STX. Being able to switch between headphones and speakers is just necessary to me since I switch between the two quite often.

Muffled? What do you mean? My sound(s) in both games and music along with other applications sounds fine.

im using cheap generic headphones ,but 2012 my goal will be asus xonar stx ,st or d2x + hd598 or hd595 + audioengine a5 but in southamerica these things are very hard to find ,and on ebay almost all sellers only ship to USA and canada ,so shipping is too expensive. sorry english is difficult to me .
pd : hd 598 ,hd595 really need stx amp or can be driving on front panel case with titanium hd.
