Power light flash?!?!? Help!!!

Thread Starter
I just put together a system using a MSI 870-g45 mobo and a HEC blitz case.

The power is suppose to illuminate blue when the the computer is on, however I can not get this to happen.

The computer case has a 3 head jumper.

The mother board uses a two pin jumper on JFP1
and a three pin jumper on JFP2.

I connected the "power led" three head plug to the JFP2 socket.

When I turn my pc on the light flashed blue for a second then ceases to illuminate any further.

THe computer boots normally and everything els seems to be functioning fine.

What should I do?

Thanks guys

- Download your boards manual here: http://www.msi.com/service/download/manual-13098.html

Go to page 26 and check the connectors for JFP1 and JFP2, Figure out wich pins the PowerLED should be on. If you found the right pins, there's only 2 possibilities to try.

Edit;
according to the manual: 3-pin power led header use JFP2 pins 1, 3 and 5.

You tried jumping the power lead pins to make sure the switch is not at fault?

I have the hard copy of this manual that came with the board.

On JFP1 I connected my plug to pins 1 and 5.

what happens is that the light flashes when the pc is turned on then never comes on again.

I connected it to the prongs both ways, blue to positive and white to ground. and vise versa.

one way the led flashes the other way there is no response.

After talking to both HEC and MSI I came to the conclusion that both parties blamed it on each other and neither were willing to help.

So i jumped the power led from one of the four leds on the front fan and now it works perfectly.

Thakns for all the suggestions guys.
