Dude, I REALLY like your 700D and WC setup!!!!! Love all the space that case has. My Phantom is long enough, but I wish it was about 4" taller and 2-3" wider, and the top barely fits a 360 radiator. I do have a lot of good airflow though.
I go to MC too, almost every weekend, just to check out the latest cases and stuff. They have the best prices on CPU's! And if you use the 5% coupon they give members (free signup) it helps cut down the tax. They're a bit thin on the WC stuff, but they seem to be adding a lot of modding stuff lately - like sleeved cables, a lot of fans, SATA cables, etc... They'll even match the prices of Frys and NewEgg too.
Q: Hows the air intake on that 700D?
I don't see that much air input with the side and the front shut, so it's just getting air from the bottom 140mm and through the 240 rad. - right? That might be why your temps get so high. Granted, your OC is a bit higher (awesome clocks dude
), and you have one more GPU, but my top CPU temps at full stress/load are 55-58C, never over 60C. GPU at load is 40-43C. And I've got no AC in my house, just a window... which I keep closed when the Santa Ana wind blows our way (cough - yuck
And who gives a rat's a$$ how high you keep your clocks! Even if you only get 1-2 years out of it, you've had an awesome time running the CPU on the edge! Plus, the prices drop, new CPU's come out (tick-tock) and we build new rigs to... wait for it...
Forgot to ask, what TIM are you using. I'm currently testing out IC Diamond 24K. So far it's about 3C better than the MX-4 I had before, and even better from the stock EVGA TIM (Shin-Etsu) on my GTX580.
Anyhow, really nice and clean build dude!
