hey guys and gals im looking to increase the voltage on my xfx radeon hd 6850 black edition. i cant unlock the voltage control in any oc software and i have tried setting higher voltages in the gpu bios and non of my attempts have worked. my question is what are some tips/ suggestions and or examples of how i could increase the voltage on the card to achieve a 950/1200 stable over clock. i am currently st 935/1150 stable on extreme burning mode and 935/1210 standard mode with msaa disabled. any ideas?

Try using MSI afterburner. Go into the cfg file. Change unofficial overclocking from 0 to 1
and you will be able to bump the volts higher.

[Guru3d]: To enable the unofficial overclocking in this version it is necessary to edit the MSIAfterburner.cfg file located in the installation directory of AfterBurner (typically Program Files (x86) MSI Afterburner): You need to alter the following: Seek UnofficialOverclockingEULA field and add following text: I confirm that I am aware of unofficial overclocking limitations and fully understand that MSI will not provide me any support on it Set UnofficialOverclockingMode to 1 to keep PowerPlay active (may not work on old ASICs), 2 to traditionally disable PowerPlay or to 0 to temporary disable unofficial overclocking path |

You need to go into the settings after modifying the CFG file and check the Unlock Voltages box.
Then restart MSI and it should work.

Take a close up picture of the back of your card so we can read the numbers off the chips. If this is like the Powercolor factory OC 6850 then it might not have voltage control.
