At this point I'm praying its something simple like a faulty ram stick. I'd be gutted if my motherboard, cpu or psu are faulty.

just leave 1 stick in and run memtest for a few passes then swap them over etc

If it is ram surly it has lifetime warentee so all good there

All my parts are covered by warranty right now, but at least if its the ram I can continue using the pc while I get it replaced.

Really? o.o Honestly, I felt like I hadn't included enough details, in particular the exact error codes etc.

For me it's most frustrating that I have to wait until after work to test this out, and I've got to drive to IKEA tonight too.

About to finish work. Something has been bugging me... what's the difference between loading default values within BIOS and clearing CMOS? Sorry if it's a stupid question, I just wonder what it is.

There shouldn't be any difference, but resetting the cmos will make 1000 percent sure all settings are factory default so as too leave no doubt that all settings are default.
