Interesting read, finally a FPS that is a bit different from the norm! May can't come any sooner.

From what i've seen its a updated TF2

i hope its not over hyped trash.

I've heard a lot of good information about this game...

...except what they're doing for the PC players. I mean we know it's using Steamworks with all the good and bad things that come with that, but aside from that, we really haven't heard much. Weapons and maps balanced for controllers feel much different with a keyboard and mouse, and in-game menus especially tend to suffer when optimized for a simpler control scheme. I'm also curious as to how their dedicated server setup actually works, since it's supposed to be dynamically based around a single users campaign or some such, something that won't really work with a standard map rotation setup. I'm guessing something like what L4D used is likely, albeit a bit more powerful to accommodate a larger number of players.

I don't care about the graphics for the PC here...I care about the core experience - and from the PC perspective, we've heard alarmingly little about this game. I have high hopes for this game - but I also had high hopes for Hellgate: London.

A balanced shooter? One of those haven't come out in a while. With the exception of BC2.

Brink comes out on May 10th.
I've been looking forward to this one for months. The trailer makes it look so fun. Artstyle is like borderlands done right. Gameplay seems very team oriented, moreso than even TF2.

And I'm just dying to try out their free flow movement thing.

Gah. So close, yet still so far.

Team Fortress 2 meets Borderlands. I liked them both and this game looks to have promise.

edit: Hmmm, no dedicated servers? I foresee some terrible connections happening...

I agree 100% with Weapon and gameplay balance when it comes to controls.. Keyboard & mouse need games to be optimized for its precision and ease of aiming and no FPS shooter has done that recently. Crysis 2.= headshot each kill no recoil. COD series same ****.. Funny thing is most player don't give this aspect of a port any attention when for me this is the biggest thing thats been ruining the experience for current fps games. Maybe because 80% people using mouse and keyboard just aren't good enough and are happy finally getting kills in games..

For consoles, PC WILL have dedicated servers (read that in some other recent interview).
