Not really. Win 7 is a great thing. Plus, if you look back in time, every time Microsoft has made a good OS, they make a Fail one (98 win > ME fail > XP win > Vista fail > 7 win) so yea

Win2000 was a hit in its day. WinXP at launch was not fun to work with, and was criticized quite a bit. Only after SP1 or so did people start warming up to it.
i like win7, from any screen shots i seen it isn't very different, could of pushed the upgrades into a service pack rather than trying to sponge our money!

As many have said, it's not really interesting if you're already on 7. I could see XP and Vista users being hyped though.
Honestly I'm looking forward to the beta, rc, rtm, etc. Just to try it, see how it works out, etc. But at the same time, evaluate the crap outta it, criticize every decision made for it, and see if it lives up to what they say... Then try to break it...
Make it cry... make it... fail... miserably, horribly, and then define it...
No it should be delayed for at least a few years, or it's just going to become Vista; everyone is happy with 7 so their would be no need to upgrade to 8.
It really depends on how it performs, if its a bloated slower windows 7 then no way. If it offers the same performance with some good improvements then on my next rig ill buy it. However, I will not be changin from windows 7 on my current rig.
Not really, wish they'd postpone it for further development. There's just no way it'll be able to offer significant (performance) improvements over W7 at this point.
I also expect DX12 to be available on Windows 7 which will keep it useful for gaming for the next 10 years. Even if DX13 was released within 5 years, it'd still take ages before developers would use it
