Click "Configure", go to the "Slots" tab, highlight "smp" and click "Edit". Then change the number of threads to be used:

Question: With the new v7 client and a Phenom II x4 @ 4.0GHz would it produce more results using all 4 cores or should I go back to the way it was with the old client and run 3 dedicated for the CPU and 1 for the GPU?

You could force the client to just use 3 cores; since "-smp 3" works, and the cores are the same, I can't imagine using 3 cores on the new client would cause any issues.

Probably smp 3 and 1 for the GPU, but it's different for everyone, so you should try both configurations and see which one gives you the best PPD.

I think I will do this, I'm getting some great PPD so far at around 11,000 daily the way it is.

*EDIT* Zodac just read your post, I'm not worried about it not working, what I want to know is would the change benefit me at all? Like increase my PPD.

I'll probably just do what HobieCat suggested before the Chimp Challenge and test both theories.

Well, yeah, probably. The new core is only on Client v7, but should increase your PPD (if 6970s work; some have gotten them Folding, others haven't).

Haha I thought this was for 2 weeks, but I can sleep with a noisy PC for 2 nights. I can only fold on GPU, because I don't know how to fold on CPU and GPU at the same time.

I also have a MacBook Pro, but the PPD on it is lame...
