Didn't Caterpillar just layoff 6,000? That's the build team. This guy should go get a grant.

Arrggh!!!

That thing reminds me of the Hunters from HL2 EP2 and I really don't want to meet one of those on a dark night. Look at what they did to Alex

Blah, all you need is one good lasso and you can take an entire army down.

Now, THIS is what they should be investing in!

Or if you want to get creative...

I stand corrected! Not the first time I see that video, but I forgot it could do more than walk very slowly and adjust itself to the topography.

While definitely impressive, still way too experimental. Not even close to a real dog. But now that I think about it, it's still a more "realistic" project than the real size fully functional Gundam some crazy fans are thinking about.

One of the main problem I see with such robots (before even starting to think about the design itself) is their weight. Pretty sure a Gundam or an AT-AT would simply sink into the ground just because it's so damn heavy.

The 1/1 RX-78 above is still quite impressive! I almost expect it to start moving.

Where was it ever implied that this would be funded by the government via taxpayer money? Is that a serious question? Am I being trolled?
