OP, when the 570's first came out there was a thread just like this, so you are not alone.

Not necessarily. They did make efficiencies but the GF110's are sporting an extra SM unit which puts them back into the GF100 power ballpark when OCP is not in effect. The vapor chamber is a better cooler, of course.

The 570's will use less power than a 480, if that is what you were getting at.
