Oh so clever! Did you use that for iPhone 4 too? Will you use it again for iPhone 6?

Or maybe you could recognize that iPhone...the first one...turned the entire cellphone industry on its ear. The existing competition (RIM, Windows Phone) was obliterated by it. Android was invented because of it and took multiple iterations to actually become a realistic competitor. Will Android eventually dominate the industry? Certainly so. But mocking iPhone as "broken", or whatever you're trying to get across here, is just willfully ignorant at best, blatant fanboyism at worst.
The iPhone 5 better have digital tv on it, oh wait, the Japanese did that 6 years ago. Personally I would prefer the Japanese style of phones and what you can do with them, and the functionality of the iPhone/Andriod rolled into one. Now THAT would be a phone to have.

I thought this was a bad post. Until I read this one:

This is literally the dumbest thing I've ever seen posted from the Apple bashers. Literally. You do this forum a great disservice posting things like this. Maybe no one else will bother to call you out on it, but I will. It's not even worth typing out why you're utterly wrong, because anyone that's used an iDevice for a matter of seconds can tell you.

Japanese style of phones? I'm pretty sure some of you guys have a wild misconception that Japanese electronics are far different than Western ones.

Honestly I could wait until 2012 for an iPhone 5...how about a 4G(S) with more ram, dual core and finally an audible missed called reminder

Actually my old iPod Touch 2nd Gen already has that, much less my iPhone 4. It's called Netflix. To the best of my knowledge there's also a Hulu app, an ESPN app, etc. I'm a little disappointed that Time Warner limits their T streaming app to home WiFi on an iPad only. And there is Slingbox too, if you want to pay for one.

Hmm, I didn't think the Japanese would be all over iPhones like that. Interesting article.

I think what he's misconceiving as a "phone" issue is a "wireless capability" issue, right? They do have massively superior wireless tech in Japan, yes? I remember reading an article maybe a year or more ago where the author claimed to be surfing the internet on a bullet train...try doing that in the US. (Try finding a bullet train in the US...)

I was reading an article as well about the Japanese domestic phone market and why the iPhone is so big there, and it is because they did not have a phone like the iPhone. I think it is the way phones are used in Japan rather than how they are used here. Oh, I meant over-the-air digital TV, not thru the net. I would like to have a phone like the iPhone, but I don't need the greedy carriers or data plans that cost the same as a small country's GDP and all the crap that goes with US phones.

Dual core and LTE. There are two reasons to upgrade it.

The iPhone 5 will be announced in early June and will launch in late June, just like every other iPhone before it (except for the first, it was announced earlier).

What phone is honestly utilizing a dual-core to the fullest right now? The Atrix has a dual-core, but seemingly doesn't get great performance unless it's been rooted to get rid of the Motoblur. Also, LTE is still in it's beginning stage. It will be a little while before LTE is very mainstream and offered in enough places to be excited about.

iPhone was certainly innovative during its 1st-gen/3G days, until Android caught up with it starting from 2.1 Eclair and 2.2 Froyo. I believe Apple has slowed down once the iPhone 4 was introduced; minimal software improvements from the 3G/3Gs, while the addition of Face Time and the Retina Display are the only things that really stand out. Of course the App Store and iTunes are still being flaunted about, but then Apple hasn't done anything really different in terms of how the iOS ecosystem works.

Android phones have started pumping out dual-core processors, NFC and LTE capability, and a future music cloud service later on. I could see those developments as more important in the long run, with the new phones like the TBolt and the Atrix as basically future-proofed products once the new features start going mainstream.

You are right. I still got my 2G and its amazing. The thing Apple needs is a more innovating iOS to stand up again. In reality after i used iPhone 4 for 1 weeks its was just a better looking faster older iPhone which did nothing more the old iPhone could not for most people. Upgrading just Hardware is Androids game.
