I like SeaSonic S12II in all its forms. Whether it's a NeoECO, S12II Bronze, Corsair CX400, Antec Earthwatts, or whatever, it's all good because it's all the same internals (or close to the same).

Except for that Arctic Cooling unit based on S12II. I don't know how they managed to screw up a good platform that badly, but they did. I think they took the 350W version, checked the "cheap" box next to every option, and labeled it a 400W.

I know what you mean. I love my original Seasonic built EarthWatts 430. Been chugging merrily along since I bought it in early 2007.

Will a 620 watt psu draw more current from the wall than a 400 watt psu in the same system?
I'm just curious if a lower wattage PSU would use less energy than the same brand of PSU but at higher wattage.

Antec NEO ECO 400C 400W vs. a Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W in the same system, same current draw?

You may see a minor variation because efficiency changes depending on the load you place on the PSU, but it would not be a big difference.

I really should have known better and I'm paying for it now, but what has happened this past two weeks only proves the point of purchasing quality power supplies for your computers!

Last January 26th 2010, I bought 2 RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W PSU's for my son's new computer systems from Newegg. They have both died within 2 weeks of each other. One was last week and the other one just today.
They will not power on or anything, I even removed them and tried jumping the 24 pin connector, all they do is, the fan attempts to spin then stops, the blue LEDs in the fan just flash on then off once.

It's not an expensive lesson by any means, but a lesson none the less.

I'm replacing these el cheapo PSU's with the better Corsair 750W's.

I just wanted to vent a little.
Glad to hear your PSU choice of course but, I'm more pleased to hear that you did not have catastrophic PSU failures and damaged equipment.

After some thinking on the Corsair 750TX, I decided to give Antec a try. I went with the Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W. Link
I may have only needed 400 watts, but I went with 620 watts for future video card upgrading.

Thanks for all your input guys!

I don't understand, did you return the TX750 and get the NeoECO?

The NeoECO series are about on par in quality to the TX series (except for group regulation instead of indy regulation; but with 95% of systems that doesn't matter much), main reason I recommended them instead was they're cheaper, so a better bang for the buck. If you did it to save money, then right on.
