total one offs, since you can get 1/8" copper plate and cut it to size/shape and mount the plate to a reusable block
If you are doing your own as a one off then of course it can be done. I would look at getting a long thin waterblock (like a Mobo MOSFET block) to attach to the metal plate.
Also, think about using some thermal glue or sticky thermal pads instead of making a mounting for it. I know it can be a pain to remove, but it will cut down on any machining work.
Probably quite easy really, if you do it post pics! Might end up as a fairly cheap way of fully WCing a GPU, at the cost of a little restriction.
