I've yet to play one single mission/level of the BFBC2 SP, and without a doubt it's been worth the $50 I payed for it back in March of last year.

Quite the opposite with Crysis 2, I pre-ordered it the second it went on sale over @ Steam, and while the SP was somewhat good, the MP is just pathetic (hackers/pirates found left and right). Certainly wasn't worth the $60, yet the SP was good.

With Battlefield, MP = where it's at, SP = secondary.
I still maintain with a meh/nonexistent SP a game has no business charging more than 30 bucks for itself.

I played BC2's campaign. Even with that I would say it's worth 25 bucks. New. It really wasn't that good.

I hope they have a good mix of city/urban maps with large scale open maps for vehicle warfare.

I know BF traditionally is about vehicles and the total war experience instead of just infantry combat, but my favorite maps in the series have been strike at karkand, road to jalalabad, camp gibralter, sidi power plant (PERFECT SIZED MAP!!) and suez canal. Maps like dragon valley killed it for me, too large and not fun to play IMO.

I think you're forgetting that BF1942/Vietnam/2 is NOT the same thing as BC. BF has never had even remotely decent single player gameplay and no one has ever cared before because people only play it for the Multiplayer part.

I'm so confident in this game I'm going to wait till it drops down to $30. I have no confidence in DICE or EA. Anybody who has played PC games long enough will know that BF3 will be buggy from the start.

It has been like that for every one of their games. Now speaking of these large maps. That's cool and all, but Highway Tampa was way too freaking big. I think that was the biggest one in BF2. Even with 64 players you had to hunt around to kill, but did make actual teamwork more coordinated.

Battlefield 2/2142's single player is nothing but a training ground for multiplayer and are two of the best games ever made. I happily paid $50 when they were released and would do so again in a heart beat.

While i hope that the BF3 single player is good, battlefield has always and will always be about the multiplayer. For any other game i would be behind you 100%, but not for a series that has only recently started even having a single player campaign in the first place.

Comes with a GPU?

Honestly, there will probably be some $300 video cards that bundle this game with them at that time.

BF3's physics will def requires a SB @ 5Ghz. Have you seen the complete destruction of a building and then it falling on a helicopter?

Yeah, if you pre-order now you get the first DLC pack for free. It was $49.99 the first 2 days then it went up to $59.99.
I guess that part is a scripted SP event. Still very impressive though.

But if that's what you can do to a random building in MP. I will be happily upgrading to a 5Ghz SNB system to play it. Or I'll just try to OC 0.5Ghz more out of my 2600k.

Releasing games of such sizes completely polished is NOT possible.
Plus, your smug standards are not helping, Ive played BC2 since day one, sure it had bugs, but most of em could be easily avoided.
