About to Take Comptia A+ Exams

Thread Starter
Hey all, Sorry if this is the wrong section to post.

I'm preparing myself to take the A+ over the weekend and i just have a couple questions for you veterans out there.

I know my hardware, but I'm just curious as to what kinds of questions on legacy components I'll be receiving.

And are there any good guides out there that any of you have used? I know this will be easy, i just wanna make sure I'm prepared.

Any other advice/tips would be great, Thanks!

Well are you familiar with legacy hardware? If so its not a huge part but helps to know in the test you get asks about AMR slots and the like.

i would use professor messer http://www.professormesser.com/free-...aining-course/

he has made instructional videos on the whole set of certification training i used them as a prep before i went and took my test he does a very through job with them and there realy easy to follow ive used the videos of his for my A+ Net+ and Windows 7 Microsoft cert

there is a fair bit of legacy stuff on the exam i dont remember what all exactly its not the whole exam but its definetly there and some of questions are off too like how many wires are in a IDE cable random stuff like that.

its not incredibly hard tho and good luck to you

*edit* forgot to mention he does have prep tests on there too

Are they still asking about ISA on the A+?
When I took mine though I do remember some legacy questions as well. (this was back in highschool) but the main thing, is just study your acronyms and remember (for the OS part) critical files and whatnot.

The A+ is easy though, I can pretty much just do it again with my eyes closed.
