Is my mouse pad good enough?

Bought this cloth mouse pad a while ago and it seems fine, but I just wanted to check if it would be fine as far as accuracy for a mouse, I looked at a razer one which felt somewhat bumpy, and mine is smooth. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find it using google, on the mouse pad it says warzone with a lightning bolt in the middle, and battle for honor underneath it, i searched that but got nothing relevant back. Besides that its just plain black. If someone knows what I'm talking about and has any opinions/reviews of it, I'd really appreciate it.

I recently bought a Steelseries I-2 glass mousepad. I like it a lot. It is perfectly smooth and seems to have much less friction than any other surface I have used for a mouse before. It also came with low friction pads for the bottom of the mouse that seem to be much more slick than the ones that came on my logitech mouse. I don't think it really makes the tracking any more accurate but it certainly offers a silky smooth surface to operate on. I also chose it because it can't wear out. The back side of the glass is painted but the surface you operate the mouse on is bare glass. I figure this mousepad will last forever as long as I don't drop it...

They say this mousepad is not for laser mouses though. Optical only. It also might be discontinued. I just went to the steelseries site and it says out of stock. Some other sites are out of stock as well. You can probably hunt one down if you try though. Who knows, they might be coming out with something better.

I have a smooth gaming pad (not cloth) and it's nice! I like the smooth texture better than the rugged one because I run and gun in FPS games so I like the smooth gliding.

If you don't notice an issue, then don't worry about it.

Concurrently, with optical and laser mouse technologies having a mouse pad is a matter of personal preference. Does it increase the accuracy of your mouse movement? Debatable. Have I ever noticed a difference? Nope.

I'm slightly biased since I'm not a gamer though, my rig is used predominantly for f@h, research projects, light Python programming as well as intensive multimedia applications (i.e. 3D modelling)

Mouse pads are meant to help the track-ball in older mice move around the mat without giving the end-user terrible headaches.

Well there could still be a tracking issue even if I don't notice it right? So does no one know what brand my mouse pad is? It just seems weird that I cant find out. Also, do hard mouse pads have a lot of friction, like a wooden desk would have?
