Oh, that one. It's been debated before whether it was worth using or not. The conclusion was that it's not worth using. All it does is control the fan speed through the hardware. Leave it where it runs good, and then set your own fan profile in MSI Afterburner smile.gif
They do sound like jet engines when fan speed is above 80%, below that level I nearly don't notice it.

I don't know what's wrong this card, yesterday evening i've been playing some games with it no problem, this morning i boot and there's artifacts all over the place...Re seated the card(and had to do a system restore)Now that little switch is back to the left and it works.
thinking.gif

Oh and what clocks should i run to equal a 580 in performance?

It would probably be in the 900 range, preferrably more than 900 on the core clock, and the memory clocked to 2100-2300. Not all cards can do both at the same time though.
What Nvidia driver are you using?

I'm using 310.64,looks like it needs alot of volt to even get 845 core. And its running hot and loud like hell.Gonna sell this one, looks like it cannot match my 480 at 825core(default volt).

Would a GTX660 match my 480'ocd?

I've been searching for something and it seems I'll find it here! I was modding the BIOS for this card, the performance BIOS that is, but being the idiot I am, I flashed it on the Silent bios. This card has 2 options, Performance or Silent. Now I have both as Performance. Can anyone in this thread be so kind to switch the cards BIOS to Silent, save that BIOS with GPU-Z and send it to me? I really liked the Silent one, but now I don't have it anymore cuz of my stupidity!

Thank you!

Already tried TPU bioses, they're all Performance. I'm asking a person here with the same card to do it! It's the only way.... I'm sure someone here has it!!!!
