Well, I didn't say it wouldn't go over 1000MHz, but it's more likely it won't be so stable. I wish your friend the best results if he's going all out with his card.

Hi, i want to go to limits of my card and im trying made new OC tries. But i wanna ask something about MSI AB and version of Nvidia Driver.

First i've noticed that i can't adjust the "power limit" from the AB;

And second one is; Is that important which driver version of Nvidia should i use to better stability with my 570PE/OC. And im using the latest one 310.90.

Thanks for all..

Hey guys been a long time since ive posted. How do you guys feel about the 570 these days? I dont feel like i need to upgrade yet but seeing the 680 benchmark scores really beat up the 570 makes me feel bad. I figured since no game really runs poorly for me id wait till the 700 series. Was just curious how everyone else here feels

Note I'm talking about my 580 but the 570 isn't terribly far off from the 570 in terms of performance.

I just upgraded to a 1440p monitor and I still feel my 580 is performing admirably, sure I would like more performance but I'm not super impressed with anything from nvidia right now and AMD isn't a real option for me right now with their current folding performance. My 580 still has no problems maxing easy games like source or blizzard games even at the higher res, and even things like crysis 2 have only needed AA turned down to remain playable. Basically for people with 570s I would try and wait till the end of the year (or whenever NV releases new cards that aren't $1000) because unless you absolutely must have more performance right now, I don't feel the 600 series offers a whole lot more to gain, especially when price/performance is taken into consideration.

I made the move from a EVGA GTX 580 SC because I got a good price offer for it and got the N660GTX-Ti PE/OC TF4,
I should have gotten the GTX 670 though but since the latest driver releases the 660 Ti is pulling ahead of the GTX 580 now.

my problem is my SLi N560GTX-Ti 448's TF3 and what to do, so I feel your GTX 570 dilemma.
I might just have to SLi my 660Ti's and move them over to my Surround unit and run one of the 448's
in my other unit that now runs the single 660 Ti..

headache just thinking about it and it's not that serious to consider Titan..
I bet the GTX 770 / 780's would / will be nice if priced right.

edit:
updated the drivers on the SLi (Ti 448) rig to 314.07 and I must say they are quite nice..

one of my cards is making this growling noise on one of the fans. Do you think I should replace or not worry at all? the supplier said I can replace both cards if only 1 is faulty. when I check afterburner the one card is about 100-200RPM slower than the other cards fans

Gl0ry! Remember me? I just came back to the forum yesterday. Anyhow, I still love my 570. The fan still shrieks when it cracks the % barrier. But fully OCd stable at 945core doesn't even really need my fans pumping. I'm very happy I got this card and feel no reason to upgrade until the new games give it a good run for its money. When it does, I'll PM you to buy your card so you can upgrade wink.gif

Geez this thread got big when I was gone.

I cleaned my card and it stred making this noise but i fixed it now by just letting it spin for a while. I was swapping the cards around and now i can get the following.

Core: 865MHz @ 1.044V
Memory: 2150 @ stock volts
Aux voltage on +10

temps is about 71C on custom fan speed in afterburner

I agree. no need to upgrade. Think this cards will stay. even if I must upgrade i will first save up money and then overclcock this cards till it breaks.
