Q6600 B3 OC 3.0 GHz my OC :D

Hey guys, just over clocked recently and have the following rig hooked up:

OS: Windows 7 ultimate
CPU: Q6600
Memory: 4Gb Corsair xms2 pc-6200 800mhz 5-5-5-18
Hard Drive: 1250GB Sata2 raid
Video Card: BFG GTX 275
Sound Card: GIGABYTE sound card
Motherboard: GIGABYTE P35-DS3R
Cooling system: Arctic Freezer 7 pro, with lots of fans all over the place

And here is my overclock on the hottest temps, its been 24 hour tested and is stable. I figured i should show you guys to get an opinion if this is a safe temp on air cooling and if i should try pushing for 3.2 ghz

I've been trying to get a B3 OC'd at 3.0GHZ for a while. Please tell?

Hey, welcome to OCN.

You can make everyone see your system specs in every post, by adding them here

That picture isint showing up for me, but make sure you don't go over 62.2C (intel's stated maximum)

Hey, thx for the reply

@Birdy1337 use the voltages i have on the right
@SyncMaster753: i dont know which temp reading to agree upon i see 3 temps and all are different for the hottest core since im using core temp, real temp, and cpuid hardware monitor

try this link also: http://s4.postimage.org/4ptjp2ubs/my_oc.png

There's a temperature sensor on each core so there's 4 readings. (they usually vary some from eachother)

So it looks like it's pretty hot when stress testing. It will shut down before it damages itself but i'm not sure you could make it to 3.2ghz without cooling it better

EDIT: you're on stock voltage?, that's a great OC for a b3 q6600 on stock volts. They usually topped out at 3.1-3.2ghz if i remember right, and that's with 1.45+volts on them.

you cannot even get 3Ghz on air for the B3?
Nice OC you got there, especially for B3 wink.gif

Push for 3.2GHz + max temp 70*C, max voltage 1.45V
