OP: since it's a BE chip you can simply crank the multiplier up to what you desire..with a good cooler you can easily do 4ghz on that chip with 1.45v to 1.5v on vcore..you can either crank the NB up too if you like a boost on performance, given you supply it with adequate voltage..set your memory settings to the specs indicated/rated for it..then do some stressing to see if its fine/stable..watch out for your temps too..
You cannot 'crank' the multiplier to what you 'desire'. Each processor/motherboard combo caps out at a certain limit which then you start upping the FSB as i explained to the op.

If only it was that 'EASY'

its a BE chip..duhhh..crank multi to 20 w/o cranking FSB = 4ghz.. (nobrainer 20x200 math)

he's a beginner give him an easy approach on things..plus that board ughhh..confused.gif i won't recommend blasting that off with 1.45v or more..since alot of dying boards came from MSI lately..either way OP this is just a reminder..

do get a good reading on this before you proceed:
-all about choosing the right board
-Motherboard phase list

If you read your post and I quote ' since it's a BE chip you can simply crank the multiplier up to what you desire' i dont see you saying up the multiplier to 20. And as he's a beginner, i did give him an easy approach by giving him instructons on whats the best and stable way.

Your not going to say to a new learner driver 'just throttle the gas pedal' are you like what you stated in the quote above 'go all out' DUH. I took my time to explain.

Your quik to do the math to me and explain but in your 1st post I dont see you explaining in such a detail anywhere.....DO YOU

i hoped that the OP will be experimenting first, and not DIVE into it on an instant..why am i explaining to you anyways??? confused.gif if he was able to catch what was meant in my post..and its true that every board has a different cap for the highest multiplier for CPU..i see your point rolleyes.gif

duhh you're so great i get it.. rolleyes.gif

So far my highest I can get on this chip is 3.9 ghz @ 1.548V... If i go higher on the multiplier I get blue screens. Any suggestions? Haven't messed with anything just the multiplier. Ran prime for 2 hours @ 3.9ghz @ 1.548v and no errors. Load temp= 60c (highest). I can't get any lower than 1.548v to run @3.9ghz.

Listen to him, your motherboard has a 4+1 phase VRM system.

This man knows what he is talking about and has even written a whole useful thread about VRM explosions.

4ghz at 1.4v? That's crazy low, i can only get to 3.8ghz on that voltage, which is stock volts for me.
