Good luck with the mod.
Will have to wait until after easter to get my compressor and airbrush kit. So I will do some other work in the meantime. I sanded the left side panel back last night and applied a coat of primer. There were some large scratches on the case still after using the primer. I probably should have used a filler and primer, but that didn't occur to me when I was at the shop.
This morning I used some 240 grit dry paper and tackcloth sanded the primer back a little as the scratch was still showing and applied another coat of primer.
Hopefully this should get rid of any scratches and dints.
There was 1 dint from where I accidently put a clamp down while using the jigsaw, but I forgot to put some scrap wood between the case and clamp. It looks like a small pinhole sized dint. I bashed it with a hammer as much as I could without damaging the case.
After sanding back the primer
