Get the 6950 and xfire them, you could also unlock it into a 6970 or just do a shader unlock.

Of course the 6950's will be more powerfull than a single 580 and at 1080p any of those setups will be great.

Why go with 580 SLI?

Some watercooled 6990 are now at 1100/1350 (see 6990 owners thread). At those clocks, it's on par with 580 SLI OC.

The 6990 is OCing higher then 2X6970 or 2X6950. It's crazy.

So for cheaper then 580 SLI, you can get a 6990 and a waterblock and be on par with 580 SLI OC. But with a single card. Less noise also. smile.gif

6950's, of course ..

Remember to flash them to 6970's.

You caould choose 2x GTX 560 TI's in SLi as well. Cheaper and better than the GTX 580 (if we overlook the Vram...)

gtx580 is a great card,
but 2x hd6950 2gb cf (unlock it to hd6970) would destroy a gtx580 for the same price.
Hope this helps u
