Any forseeable problems

Thread Starter
Currently have windows 7 set as my main OS, I went to the manager and partioned myself 50Gbs for a small linux partition for easy control over a linode. On my laptop it was as simple as installing Suse and telling it to only use the small partition and create a grub (on the MBR i believe? not sure info welcome) Easily dual boots between 7 and suse. On my desktop can i expect the same painless experience? (with the exception of ndiswrapper)

Any information on this is appreciated. Suse 11.4 is going to be installed on this partition

I dual booted 7 and Ubuntu, works like a charm. You should have no issues. GRUB is for the boot record, yes

It all depends on the hardware. Some systems take to Linux like a fish to water, while others seem to fight you every step of the way. The only way to find out is to try it.
