why not buy all the stuff and a psu but leave out the graphics card and use your current one and save up and get one later

That's the option that I'm considering atm

Antec High current gamer 620 is the same price with maybe £0.50 difference which is well... nothing

As for RAM I have already decided that I'll get G-Skill.

In case of the gpu I wanna get some more opinions to help me decide. The main thing is that I want this setup to last for a while and still being able to play games on good detail.
Well as far as options go for gpu's I really suggest that you hold off on that and get a GTX 5xx/HD69xx later on, if i was in your shoes I would use the one you have now and get a GTX 560/570 or a 2Gb HD6950 later on.

p4p3r...u know ur rig(oced) will be pulling near 650 watts and u have 850 watts...ur psu is nowhere being fully utilized and as we know the op is going to be using an i5 which has lower tdp than amd p2 955 and only 1gfx card...so even with ocing his rig wont pulll anything even close to 600...so even as a safety measure a 600 watt psu will be more than sufficient...even if he decides to add another gtx 460 down the line....

and 2ndly
gskill makes some quality rams dont fall for the fanboy comments.....
take whichever is cheaper corsair or gskill

and 3rdly about ur gfx card a gtx 460 will serve u well for quite some time....as i know from my personal experience....when oced these cards r beasts overtaking gtx 470's in performance.....

and lastly
no offence but the corsair gs600 is a cheap and decently build 80+ rated unit which will deliver whatever it states very well(but its non modular).....
this is just an advice...if anybody else finds a decent 600 watt unit cheaper than gs600 then pls be sure to state it......
here gs600 is one of the cheapest decent psu i found.....
hope this helps and sorry for my bad english......and typing habits

Now, that would be kind of difficult, since I am a student and the only money that I'm getting atm is what they pay me for attending my lessons.
The point is that yesterday was the last day I went to school for a few weeks, so I won't be getting too much money any time soon

well, do the build minus GPU and with PSU, keep the gt240. theyre not bad tbh. and then get another when you have money. or look on ebay/the sale section here

I have Ripjaws myself, I'm no fanboy .....
I mainly look at performance (+ features) pr. dollar.

Actually, about the rig, it's measured to draw around 840W. Belive it or not.
Also, I was not measuing his with mine. My PSU is completely irelevant. I had more cash to spend that he currently has.

i was not calling u fanboy tbh...but lately i have been seeing most ppl blindly recommending corsair rams which have higher price tags than gskill but perform almost same.....
and seriously i dont beleive ur rig is pulling that much.....
i ran 2 gtx 460 hawks and my i7 870 @ 3.6 ghz with all other parts on my lowly gs600 watter psu and it ran fine....so its kinda hard to digest that ur rig takes 800+......i think u should recheck theres got to be some error in readings......
