Sandy Bridge $1000 Build - Page 2

Sorry, but LOL @ people beggin' for rep via PM. I've had ~90 reps since January (only one of them was actually in January) and have never begged for, asked for, hinted towards or even thought about asking, etc for rep. Just be polite and helpful and you'll get rep when rep is due.

2600K certainly has it's advantages and video editing would be one of them. Generally 2500K/2600K can hit the same speeds... Bad chip 4.4-4.6GHz, good chip 4.7-4.8Ghz, great chip 4.9-5.1GHz. 2600K will usually require a little more voltage to hit the same speeds as a 2500K and thus temps will be hotter. But that varies chip to chip.

Someone mentioned that MSI board and I plugged it in on Newegg. It came up with this combo.

It is $910 after rebates. I know you don't need a case, but just thought I would throw this out for you. Not a great looking case, haha.

This combo is pretty sweet. Gives you room to choose your video card too.

Do it. By far, overclock the 2500K to 2600K speeds and you won't notice any difference.

I don't need a keyboard/monitor/mouse/OS, and need it $1000 or below.

Here's what I was possibly thinking:
Motherboard: Asus P8P67 Deluxe ($240)
Processor: i7 2600k ($330)
GPU: MSI GTX 560 ($250)
RAM: G.Skill 6GB 1600Mhz ($70) link
Hard Drive: Samsung Spinpoint F4 2TB ($80)

Total: $970

Thoughts?
if u need a better 2tb hdd for the same price then get this:
western digital cavair green 2tb,it has 64mb cache,
the mobo u choosed is a good one, however p67 sabertooth is also a great choice,
sandy bridge runs dual channel memory so either get 4gb(2x2gb) or 8gb(2x4gb/4x2gb) ram,
get this ram:
corsair vengeance 1600mhz,
these ram runs great with sandy bridge systems,
get the i5 2500k,its the best bang for buck,
get a better gpu,
msi hd6950 2gb (can be unlocked to hd6970) for the same price of gtx560ti,
what about psu??
I suggest u to get:
corsair tx750 v2

cpu cooler- corsair H70/noctura NH D14
Hope u like my help
