Most vendors have a three year warranty so you should have been fine.
Looks like you want with a poor seller.

My Gigabyte motherboard was sent in for RMA two and a half years into its three year warranty, they no longer stocked the board so I got a full cash refund.
I've also sent a Powercolor 4770 in for RMA well over two into its three year warranty and got full store credit, which is the least I would expect.

I hope you know vendors do not deal with product warranties, that is the job of the manufacturer. So no, newegg is not a poor seller. My card does have a 2 year warranty with the MANUFACTURER, not the SELLER.

Frankly I do not care who the warranty is with, as long as I get my full refund or exchange for the item I bought. That is all that matters to me, and that is what I get, unlike you, it seems.

Do you have good case cooling? Did you replace the TIM? Do you have your fan on manual or auto?

Well to settle all of the dispute here, I bought this card from newegg flat out because I wanted it. I couldn't find any new reference 5870s anywhere online and the prices at that time for used ones were too high when I could just spend a little bit more and get a new one. I've never had any problems with this card, I would imagine (correct me if I am wrong) that if you had almost any 5870 under full load with the fan at a very very low setting, it would get pretty warm.

With those things being said, I am aware that reference cards are generally better and I would pick a reference card over a non reference card if I had the opportunity.

Wrong, my 5870 always stayed below like 40c idle with and ambient of like 30c

Why would you post that? The guys not "Wrong". Hes right.

If you got a 5870, opened up Furmark and set the fan to 10%, its most likely going to get hot.

Idle temps have little importance compared to load temps anyway.

Ever since I went CrossFire, my cards have been running hotter. Sometimes GPU1 gets up to high 80's and would probably get higher, but I usually save my game and exit it. While I know that GPUs can run hotter than CPUs, I usually don't like seeing it get into the mid 70s.

I know that going CrossFire definitely cranks up the heat, but I had no idea it would be this much.. When I can afford it, I think I'll purchase a new side panel for my K62; one with vents and places for two fans. That may help a bit with my temps.

I said nothing about idle temps, I was strictly speaking of full load temps.
