installed h70 idle temps 60?!?!?!!! - Page 4

not sure if anyone has suggested this yet...but, your best bet is to just run the pump into one of the fan headers on the motherboard..don't plug it into the cpu fan header, creates a tad more work..plug it into a fan header on the motherboard so it receives full speed @ 1400rpm...as for the paste..it comes pre-applied with ****-etsu I believe..it isn't that bad..just check to make sure there are no air bubbles and it is making contact with the processor...there's almost no curing time so it shouldn't be this much of an issue unless the product is defective

You didnt have your cpu fan on some sort of power cycle in the BIOS did you? If so go into BIOS and set in back to default, 100% power. Since now your pump is hooked up to it.

I'm sure somethign is wrong with your H70. I get 32C idle with the H50 I got with a push/pull set up with some cheap coolermaster fans.

First off, check to make sure your pump is working. Do you hear any water moving noises from the pump?

You're pump doesn't need to be at 100 percent speed at all times to acquire a lower idle(In fact I've found out that even at 100 percent speed/Aprox. 1000-1100rpm-as shown in HWMonitor for me, temperatures are no different than if it was at 800-900rpm)

Reseat the CPU Cooler block, it took me a good pushing down and twisting to remove all air bubbles and such to install the block on properly to seat it nice and flat. The pre-apply thermal paste is good enough.

I idle at 30C and never load past 50C on 4.2ghz

Idles with the H70 should be in the 30s. It is very hard to get the pump/sink combo seated well on the CPU. It took me trial and error until I had the best contact.

The Corsair Hydro threads warn that the pump should always run at max rpm so its best not to lower it.

the pump SHOULDN"T be on the CPU fan header, out it on the mobo and run it at 100%. Fans should be on CPU fan header

uhhh man this is bad, if i stop both the push pull fans for a few seconds i can't hear ANY water moving, and neither of the tubes feel warm, or feel like anything is going through them, the only way i can feel something on the tubes is when the fans come back on and the tubes vibrate, my h70 is mounted sideways (changing that today) but surely it could not make it that bad!?

GREAT.

now it wont let me upload

so

cpu temp 51

all fans at 100

core 45

fan one 1030 rpm
fan 2 1870 rpm
fan 3 1061 rpm
