Amp on Subwoofer Box

Would it be a bad idea to mount an amp on to a subwoofer box? would the rattle of the subwoofer harm amp components???

It's usually a bad idea. if you are going to do it, then (assuming the sub fires forward) mount the amp to the top of the box.

Or, if you wanted to add another layer of material so the rear baffle is twice as thick, that can help reduce vibrations too.

The entire problem, is that the vibrations can, over time, rattle components loose.
